The hope and purpose of this book is threefold; that the church in Africa continue to affirm the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ; that the Church in Africa learn afresh to indigenize itself to the point that Christanity truly becomes an African religion; and that preaching in Africa increasingly use African historical, cultural, tranditional religious concepts, imagery, and idiom to communicate the gospel more effectively in the new millennium.
