This preliminary and interim report of the international and interconfessional Committee of the Hebrew Old Testament Text Project, sponsored by the United Bible Societies, is both tentative and summary. It is being made available to Bible translators and scholars on a periodic basis, so as to provide a summary analysis of the continuing work of the Committee. Judgments recorded in this and subsequent reports are, however, subject to revision as the work of the Committee progresses. When the review of Old Testament textual problems is completed, a full scientific report will be published. This will consist of several volumes.
