Ethel Tench Rogers has provided a very practical resource for both general and seasonal use. Included are 26 hymn arrangements, grouped according to their subject matter. Each hymn features several settings of the melody and is long enough to be used individually. However, the hymns within each group are also linked by related keys and modulations, thus making it easy to lengthen the selection if desired. Especially designed as organ preludes, these are also suitable for offertories or personal enjoyment. Moderately easy; both general and Hammond drawbar registrations are included. The two-stave format makes for easier reading. Sample titles: 'Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty'; 'Angels from the Realms of Glory'; 'Christ, the Lord, Is Risen Today'; 'We Gather Together'; 'O Worship the King.'
