The Promises of God ... Prophets is an excellent summary and reference guide which provides you with a good understanding of what is contained in the books of Ezra through all the rest of the prophets in the Old Testament. The books of the prophets are a beautiful collection of God's spoken word, revealing the Lord's loving, compassionate, slow-to-anger, and merciful nature. They also reveal His intolerance for sin, however, and make it clear that sin never goes unpunished forever. These books record God's plan of redemption and point to Christ Jesus, who came to fulfill the law and sacrifice Himself to give us the opportunity to receive His Spirit and eternal life.
