This series of books, developed by teachers in the Ridgewood, New Jersy Public Schools, is based ont eh curriculum they have been using with their elementary and middle school students for the past 10 years. Book 1, grade; analogies that exemplify 5 different relationships; descriptive, comparative, categorical, serial, and casual within each category are 5 levels of complexity; Novice, Apprentice, Masters, and Super Masters. Book 2, grade 5, and Book 3, grade 6: more difficult vocabulary, with the same format Book 4, grade 7, and Book 5, grade 8: organized by subject areas: geography, history and government, language arts, and math. Solving analogies in each of these areas reinforces information students are learning int he subject areas.
