This collection of a dozen or so individual stories comes from India, Kashmir, Pakistan and Afghanistan. Somewhere in each story we meet qualities of character we would desire in ourselves and we meet faith and faithfulness to an exceptional degree. They give examples of the human character pushed to extremity. These stories demonstrate the strength and weakness of the simple human soul and its immense qualities of courage, tenacity, love and faith.
