Kolb both presents an accurate and biblical model for evangelism and counters the modern mindset of how evangelism has been done in the recent past. Much of modern evangelism is based on reaching the unbeliever either by the emotions or the intellect, methods that are flawed from a biblical view. By addressing the sin in the sinner's life and confronting him with the Law, a non-Christian can truly begin to understand where they stand with their Creator. Kolb shows that by presenting the Law before the Gospel Christians can better serve a lost and dying world.
