Many students haven't made all the connections when it comes from speaking to spelling. 'Would of corrected myself' sounds right, but of course isn't spelled correctly. Speech to Spelling is designed to help students connect their everyday spoken dialect with the book knowledge of spelling. Lists of 'street' sentences comprise each lesson; teachers read the sentence as students write it and correct their own work. Simple and effective, lessons focus on of/have, it's/its, to/too/two and other commonly misspelled words and phrases as students learn to recognize the differences between spoken and written language. 80 pages, loose-leaf in included three-ring-binder.
