Spellwell DD, intended for the second half of fifth grade, contains over 300 more challenging words. (First half of the year uses Spellwell D). The Spellwell spelling series teaches grade-level words that follow a particular pattern as well as words that are chosen by the individual student. It makes possible an organized, effective spelling program in just thirty minutes of class time per week. The skills taught during the year are cumulative, so both the first and second books are needed to complete the program.
