Monster back Cody Martin loves football. Since he first tossed a pigskin, he's imagined someday playing for the NFL. But lately the thirteen-year-old, all-around athlete can't get his head--or heart--into the game. His number one fan, his mom, is no longer in the stands. And Cody's feelings of grief, plus the anger of a grudge-holding football coach, pushes Cody to the brink--until he finds that the true spirit of the game is not how hard you play, but who you play for. Recommended for ages 8 to 12.
