The author provides fifty three brief reflections on men of strength in the Bible, highlighting their acts of compassion and showing how strength of heart enables compassion. While a man's compassion may be mistaken for softness or weakness, in truth it reveals underlying strength. Each reflection is accompanied by a reference to a key passage of Scripture, a prayer to make the reflection useable for a devotion, and questions for reflection or discussion that are woven into the text.
