Three different types of activities will help students learn basic geometry patterns. With icons for directions instead of written sentences, even young children can follow along as they place the included tiles on the pattern workbook sheets. 'Cover-up' activities have distinct shapes that students are to cover with the tiles; 'Imagination' worksheets use spatial visualization skills, moving the tiles around to fit in the outlined area. Finally, the 'Shapes from Shapes' activities make geometric shapes with the pieces to explore area, perimeter, length and angles. An answer key shows the outlines of the correct answer. 96 pages, softcover. Grades K-6. Workbook and 7 tangram tiles included.
