In the early twentieth century, the work of Albert Schweitzer brought historical Jesus research to a close. This was re-invigorated by Ernst Kasemann and the New Quest for the Historical Jesus. But that project reached its limitations as well. This research has been renewed in what has been called the 'Third Quest.' In this volume, N. T. Wright, one of the most prominent voices in New Testament research today, concisely explores what he sees as the six major questions historical Jesus research must always address.
