This work provides an in-depth study of the Epistle to the Hebrews without being overly technical by dividing the book into three sections: Doctrinal Discussion, Practical Exhortations, and Personal Instructions. Kent offers his own literal translation in order to limit interpretation to the commentary sections. He goes well beyond the well-known 'heroes of the faith' passages into a discovery of the grand argument of the book and its stirring challenge to believers.
