Artaban (Martin Sheen) is a good-hearted magi, and Orantes (Alan Arkin) is his faithful servant. Following a heavenly sign, the pair journey to find the Messiah, carrying with them three precious gifts. For 33 years they pursue Jesus, missing him at every turn.
