Laurel has made it to the University of Georgia where she hopes to walk onto the school's world-class Gym Dawgs gymnastics team. Things couldn't be looking better. In her first pre-dawn practice session Laurel meets her idol, Olympic gold medalist Nadia Rhodenhauser. Nadia, it turns out, is not only willing to show Laurel the ins and outs of gymnastics success, but she is a committed sister in Christ. Laurel's roommate, Payton Skky, is also a believer and a welcome friend. Too soon, though, a suddenly insecure Laurel falls under the influence of her suitemate Jewels. It wouldn't be so bad, except Jewels is prejudiced against African-American Payton, cruel to her own roommate Anna, and absolutely obsessed with the sorority rush. When Laurel decides to rush the Alpha gams with Jewels, she has some choices to make about her personal conduct, her true friendships, and her gymnastics future. Will Laurel come to realize her true identity in Christ? Will she see the right path before it's too late? Will she look to God for strength and wisdom to make the tough call when the time comes? |
