Starring 12-year-old Harleigh Jean Upton, and real-life parents Willie Aames and Maylo McCaslin-Aames, The Missy Filesis a 'feel-good dramedy' video series for girls. It was created by the same people who made Bibleman. In Adventure at Sun Rock Ranch, Missy, a fashionable, articulate thirteen-year-old, embraces the beauty of the wilderness and the quaintness of ranch life while on vacation with her parents and her friend, Anita. While at Sun Rock Ranch, a working cattle and horse ranch that specializes in 'natural training' methods, they watch the birth of a colt and go trail riding over the 2500 acre ranch. Unfortunately for Missy, the bliss is cut short when she accidentally leaves a gate unlocked and a small calf escapes into the thick brush and canyons that surround the acreage. Taking her usual control of the situation, Missy convinces herself and Anita to venture out on their own to bring the calf back--leading to them becoming lost as well! After being found by one of the ranch hands and spending what becomes an adventurous evening in the wild, Missy and Anita are able to return the calf to its mother and bring home their experiences to their friends.
