This book is an expanded and reorganized version of A Study of Early Christianity, published in 1973. Those who used the first version will find that the second has been entirely rewritten and reorganized, with fuller treatments of most of the topics and documents. All of the NT books are treated, and, in addition, some eighteen noncanonical texts are discussed. Outlines of the major documents are given, and updated bibliographies are included at the end of each chapter.
