Whatever our endeavors, aspirations, and goals may be, the best preparation is to encourage a life of the mind. A carefully cultivated mind will lead to sound reasoning, critical thinking, responsible actions, and an intentionally developed understanding of wisdom. Finally, a sound intellect in the Christian life is, as Paul would tell us (Rom 12), is a fundamental element to our discipleship in Jesus Christ.
