Behind this deceptively simple question lie a whole host of implications, theological as well as liturgical, which reach to the very heart of the Christian faith. In particular, it touches our understanding of Jesus Christ as incarnate Son of God. In other words, the place Christ is gven in liturgical prayer is an expression of how we understand the relationship between Christ's humanity and divinity.
