This work serves as an introductory text on the Gospels. The first three chapters discuss the literal, structural, and rhetorical principles underlying the Synoptic Gospels. Chapters 4, 5, and 7 explain the structure and theology of each Synoptic Gospel. Chapters 6, 8, 9, and 10 concern the four outstanding features of a Gospel, namely, parables, miracles, the passion narratives, and the resurrection accounts. Chapter 11 discusses the special features of the Fourth Gospel. Paperback, 150 pages.
