Why is it that we so often miss the present reality of Christ? Why is it that we don't preach Christ crucified and RISEN(!) here and now? Why do we miss this? Kierkeggard believed that Christendom needed to be 'reintroduced' to Christianity, and what better way to do this than by emphasizing the immanent presence of Christ as risen Lord here and now?
