Junior Asparagus goes on an amazing journey to help a friend and learns a lesson in perseverance. Junior wants to play the tuba-and learn how in one day's time. His mom explains that it takes perseverance, but Junior doesn't like the sound of that. So it's off to Mr. O'Malley's bookstore and another adventure. Junior winds up trying to help God's people escape the clutches of Dark Visor and cross the Big Frog Pond with Cuke Sandwalker and his friends, Sweet-Pea-3-O and Achoo-Bless-U.
