In Walking & Leaping Merlin Carothers tells his story of his trek across country from Indiana to California. His automobile along with all his prized possessions are destroyed in a freak accident and arriving at his destinatio n discovers himself single-handedly responsible for building a new church community with little resources. Feeling like yelling 'What Next?' he instead shouts 'Praise the Lord' and keeps his eyes peeled for a miracle.
