'Think, Inc.' is a reading program designed to involve students in the whole act of reading, from vocabulary to comprehension and reflection. Students work with a three-page packet of questions, each with Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Patterns sections. The Vocabulary section contains words which were selected because of the key role they play in the book's central meaning. Comprehension questions help students focus on important events and relationships in the book. The Patterns section helps students to compare and contrast characters and events, classify characteristics, recognize cause/effect relationships, and sequence important events. All students who have finished the book gather to discuss its 'big ideas' and their personal 'reasoned' reactions to it. The teacher's guide will help you to lead those discussions. This stock number includes: the teacher's guide, three reproducible masters containing Vocabulary, Comprehension, and Patterns questions, and an answer key. The only material the student will need is the book, 'Where the Red Fern Grows,' which may be purchased separately or borrowed from the local library.
