On one hand, all believers want an intimate relationship with God. On the other hand, they are afraid of it. This back-and-forth battle- desire mixed with fear- goes on in every Christian life. Most of the time desire overcomes fear, but nearly everyone continues to experience a residue of anxiety when approaching the mysterious, all-powerful, yet all-loving Deity.
