If it weren't for Miss Ella Rain, Tucker and Mutt surely would have lived a life of misery with their father and his drunken rages. When Mutt escapes from a mental institution and an old love shows up with her son and a black eye, Tucker is forced to decide between staying in his new life, or returning to Alabama to face his past. Although Miss Ella has been gone for several years, her spirit still remains, and it's exactly what Tucker calls on to restore his life back to normal.
