Hagar was a slave and a pagan, one of life's ordinary people. The demands and problems she experienced closely parallel those we encounter today. Just like us, her attitude, reactions, and feelings dictated her choices and actions, many of which had negative consequences. Yet to Hagar, and throughout much of her story, God demonstrated His faithfulness, His desire to help, and His steadfast provision.
